Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and expand the relationships with new and existing customers by continuous direct personal customer contact and proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Acquire a complete understanding of customer needs and requirements by collecting and analyzing client data, structure and process info
  • Creating of quotations and negotiating contract details with clients
  • Responsible for developing and achieving of sales goals through direct sales channels and on-site customer contact
  • Actively direct and oversee sales network including representatives / dealers
  • Managing communications between clients, internal teams and headquarter in Germany
  • Collaborating with sales teams and partners to maximize profits by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Creating and presenting reports on account progress, goals and quarterly initiatives
  • Participate in and contribute to regular sales, strategy meetings and trade shows / events
  • Perform regular visits to all customer sites, office in Charlotte and HQ in Germany
  • Anticipated Amount of Travel: 50%, domestic and international, mainly USMCA area and occasionally to Germany / Europe

    Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience in Related Field, Skills, etc.)

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the automation industry
    • Proven track record in delivering solutions based on customer needs and meeting sales goals
    • Strong negotiation skills with ability to follow-through on client contracts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person with an aptitude in building relationships with professionals on all organizational levels
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Computer skills (Microsoft office suite) required, and ideally experience with CRM systems
    • Valid U.S. driver’s license

    Preferred Qualifications (Certificates, Training, Licenses, and Experience)

    • Strong knowledge and background in the automation industry with a detailed understanding of assembly, packaging, inspection and related processes
    • Strong knowledge of the battery cell assembly and manufacturing industry
    • Previous experience in Account Management, Business Development or Territory Sales
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business administration, sales, or relevant field
    • German and / or Spanish language skills
    • This is a remote position and does not require relocation to the Charlotte, NC area.
